I-BEST Classes for  Business Technology Students

Highline College Business Technology students working together in a classroomI-BEST is a specialized, supportive classes where there are two teachers in the classroom: one teacher to focus on the job-training content, and one to focus on academic skills. The academic skills piece is provided by the I-BEST instructor, and is closely tied to course content.  I-BEST students will get structured, specific help with reading, writing, listening and speaking.  Students who qualify for I-BEST often complete their courses with grades up to 15% higher with I-BEST support.

Many of our BSTEC classes are available with I-BEST support and all of our I-BEST classes count toward BSTEC certificates and degrees. With I-BEST, we create a supportive, individualized pathway to a 2-year AAS degree.  We also offer I-BEST support in various modes of instruction:  on-campus, online, and virtual classes.

The I-BEST program helps make sure your English and general communication skills are ready for the next step in your academic journey.
